Are you thinking of visiting Bali? While I generally recommend closer to 10 days to balance some downtime with adventure and exploring, if you only have 7 nights, make the most of it with this sample one week Bali itinerary!
Day 1: Arrive in Denpasar and transfer to a private pool villa in Ubud. My absolute favorite is the Viceroy Bali! Don’t forget to reach out for me to book it if you want extra resort credit and breakfast for 2 each day!
Day 2: Explore Ubud’s highlights including: Monkey Forest, Tegallalang Rice Terraces, Ubud Palace, and Ubud Market. When you are done adventuring, relax and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Ubud Palace
Day 3: Wake up early and leave your hotel around 3 AM for a sunrise trek to the top of Mount Batur. This hike provides the opportunity to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Bali. Return to your villa for a well-deserved rest and spa treatments. That evening, choose between a cooking class or dining at one of Ubud’s restaurants. Consider Room4Dessert for a multi-course, culinary experience. If you’d rather skip the vigorous activities in your one week Bali itinerary, consider exploring Ubud market on this day.
Day 4: The perfect one week Bali itinerary includes experiences multiple parts of Bali. Since traffic is so dense, I recommend doing a “split stay” and moving to a hotel near the beach!
Check out and head to Uluwatu, Sanur, Seminyak, or Nusa Dua, depending on the vibe and type of resort you want. If you don’t want to sit in the car, opt for a scenic helicopter ride into Canggu. Spend the day relaxing at a beach club and enjoy a sunset dinner. Consider a sunset dinner at Akasa Jumeirah!

Day 5: Ferry to Nusa Penida for a day trip. Discover the island’s stunning spots, including Kelingking Beach, Angel’s Billabong, and Broken Beach. Snorkel in the crystal-clear waters around Nusa Penida. I highly recommend a fully private tour if you can swing the cost!
Day 6: Spend the morning relaxing by the pool or beach or take a surf lesson. Head to Uluwatu Temple in the afternoon to watch the traditional Kecak dance and enjoy the sunset.
Day 7: Spend your final day in Bali relaxing and exploring the local area. Head to Seminyak for a more lively, trendy environment, Nusa Dua for a more family-friendly beach environment and upscale accommodations, Kuta to surf, Sanur for a more laid-back, quiet ambiance, or Uluwatu to enjoy beautiful views on the cliffs. Make sure to sneak in one more spa treatment- they are affordable and AMAZING in Bali, and end with drinks at the Sunset Cabana Bar at the Alila in Uluwatu.
And there’s the perfect sample one week Bali itinerary!
